Does your character own a broom? Which brand? No, she doesn't fly...that's the advantage to that whole apparation thing, you know?

Describe your character’s strengths: Obviously is very strong in Arithmancy, or else she wouldn't be teaching it! As a student, Abigail excelled in subjects that were exclusively written with little practical, doing extremely well in Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Muggle Studies and History of Magic, and fairly well in Astronomy too. Since her magical abilities aren't necessarily the strongest, she works incredibly hard to make sure her more "magical" skills remain at least nearly up to speed with what her students might try in the hallways. Personality wise, she's very friendly and talkative....very personable, and the best of 'Puff in that regard.

Describe your character’s flaws/weaknesses: She is absolutely awful in anything practical (barely passed Herbology and Potions and now only does the very basics in either) and her wand work is just passable. Personality flaws...she's rather insecure. She's been suddenly called to take over teaching after having spent much of her time traveling and working out of the country with Gringotts, and she still doesn't feel old enough - or responsible enough, as she knows she's a bit flighty - to be a teacher.

Is your character Muggle born, a half breed, or a pureblood? Explain it. She's a halfblood, the youngest daughter of a Muggleborn witch and a halfblood wizard (Aliona and Aidan). Her father was a cursebreaker for Gringotts, and though he's since retired, he's very pleased that Abbie has focused on the same area of study as he did. Her mother worked in Muggle relations for the Ministry, but quit about a year ago. She has two older sisters (Anna and Adriana), both of whom work overseas. Anna, 39, is an international liaison between the Canadian and British Ministries of Magic, is married with two daughters, and lives in Ontario most of the time; Adriana, 34, is married to an American wizard without any children and coordinates wizarding travel on the Californian end of Europe - North American excursions. (Kind of like a wizarding travel agent...business has been better than expected, with wizards trying to get out of the stress of Britain for a while.) Though Aidan was a Ravenclaw, Aliona and all three of her daughters were in Hufflepuff.

Character Background/History: Abbie's family traveled a fair bit while she was growing up (before leaving for Hogwarts), though never particularly far. She was raised to be very accepting of people of all backgrounds, particularly with her mother's job as a Muggle liaison. She was sorted into Hufflepuff like her sisters once at Hogwarts, partially because of the importance she places upon family and friends, and partially because she's a hard worker. Abbie knows that she isn't naturally gifted at wandwork and definitely not at practical things like Potions, but she put tons of effort into her work and always managed to get by with at least a passing grade. (Though admittedly, some of it was not pretty; she would rather have someone else mix potions for her any day because chances are, she'd have a disaster on her hands otherwise!) Despite her friendly, somewhat flighty demeanor, Abbie will expect her students to try their hardest even if they don't excel in the subject.
